Portfolio Kitchen Cabinetry | Archisesto Southport Corridor

At 22-feet-wide, this Southport Corridor house is profoundly unique. Just a few steps away from the L, the homeowners wanted to create a space that encompasses design minimalism in juxtaposition with their city dwelling.

The homeowners, a developer and an arts professional, hired architect Vladimir Radutny to convert the two-flat building into a single-family house, and reached out to Archisesto to assist with the kitchen cabinetry. To keep with the family’s minimalist vision, we selected K105 by Zecchinon, a versatile kitchen with a modest appearance.

The all-white kitchen is the result of a longing for an “austere white environment,” said the homeowner in a conversation with Curbed Chicago, noting that growing up in a home of similar interior style helped to shape their “aesthetic vision.” The kitchen’s all- white finish paired with handleless cabinets and drawers give it the same sense of harmony felt through the the rest of the home, allowing its minimalist concept to shine through.
